The Yemeni Armed Forces further stated: "Yesterday, the Israeli enemy, with American support, launched 17 airstrikes on several civilian facilities in Hodeidah province, including the port and the power station."
The airstrikes resulted in the martyrdom of 5 citizens and the injury of 57 others, according to the Yemeni Armed Forces.
They emphasized: "The Israeli aggression will not deter the Yemeni people and their armed forces from fulfilling their duty towards the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples."
Lastly, they declared: "We will respond to the aggression in Hodeidah by escalating military operations against the criminal Israeli enemy in the coming period."
On September 16, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they have downed an American MQ-9 surveillance drone, marking the third of its kind to be downed within a week and the tenth since Yemen entered the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad in support of Gaza.
This incident adds to a series of downed MQ-9 drones, including previous instances on November 8, 2023, February 19, 2024, April 26, 2024, May 16, 2024, May 21, 2024, May 29, 2024, August 4, 2024, September 7, 2024, and September 10, 2024. These drones have been targeted in various provinces, including Sa'adah, Dhamar, Marib, and Hodeidah, reflecting the strategic effort to counter American and Israeli actions.
The MQ-9, a highly advanced drone with capabilities including surveillance, targeting, and carrying precision munitions, costs approximately $30 million. The downing of these drones represents a significant challenge to their deployment and highlights Yemen's ongoing resistance efforts in the context of regional conflicts and support for Palestine.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have been carrying out numerous strikes against the occupied Palestinian territories since the day when the Israeli regime began the war on Gaza on October 7.
On Saturday, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces had carried out an operation targeting Yaffa Airport, known as 'Ben Gurion' in Israel, during the arrival of the criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out this strategic military operation, which observers consider to be the first response to the assassination of the martyr leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its campaign in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 41,600 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
