News - Yemen: In a series of recent statements, the Yemeni Armed Forces have confirmed the launch of multiple military operations across strategic waterways, including the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea. 

The operations, they say, are in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements and in response to the U.S. and British aggression against Yemen which recently had targeted Hodeidah, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, revealed that the first operation targeted the British oil tanker CORDELIA MOON in the Red Sea, with the ship reportedly struck by a combination of eight ballistic and cruise missiles, a drone, and a guided boat. The attack resulted in significant damage to the vessel.

The second operation focused on the vessel MARATHOPOLIS in the Indian Ocean, which was hit by a cruise missile. A follow-up operation targeted the same vessel again as it sailed through the Arabian Sea, northeast of Yemen's Socotra Archipelago. This third strike involved a drone, which reportedly caused a direct hit.

The Yemeni Armed Forces framed these military actions as part of a broader effort to support the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in their struggles. "Our operations are a response to the American and British aggression against our country and are in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements," the spokesperson said.

They also announced their intent to maintain a naval blockade on Israel, stating that their operations would continue until the aggression on Gaza is halted, the siege is lifted, and the attacks on Lebanon cease.

The escalation marks a significant shift in Yemen’s regional strategy, adding a new dimension to the ongoing conflict in the region.

The spokesman for the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, stated that the drone air force targeted a military objective of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Yaffa using a "Yaffa" type drone. Additionally, it targeted military objectives in the Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) area with four "Sammad 4" drones.

Brigadier General Sare'e confirmed that the two operations successfully achieved their objectives, noting that these operations represent a victory for the Palestinian, Lebanese peoples and support for the courageous Palestinian, Lebanese resistances.

It was reported that over 1.5 million Israelis in the "Gush Dan" area rushed to shelters after hearing the explosions near "Tel Aviv." Following these events, a hypersonic missile was detected being launched from Yemen towards Gush Dan.

Several Arab activists on social media expressed their joy at the news, emphasizing that Yemen remains the only nation standing proudly and defiantly with Gaza and Lebanon, while Arab rulers stay silent and inactive.

These developments follow a brutal Zionist aggression on Hodeidah two days ago, which resulted in the martyrdom of five civilians, injuries to over 50 others, and damage to the Al-Hali power station.

Yemen, under its revolutionary and military leadership, is engaged in a war against the "trio of evil" — the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel — due to Yemen's support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, where the population has been subjected to genocide for more than three months.

During this confrontation, the Yemeni Armed Forces have managed to deliver severe blows to the trio of evil by sinking several ships and forcing the aircraft carriers "Eisenhower" and "Roosevelt" to flee from the Yemeni operational area. Additionally, the Armed Forces succeeded in reaching the heart of the enemy's capital with two notable operations: the first using a Yafa-type drone, and the second with a hypersonic ballistic missile.

Israel waged its brutal US-backed war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

However, nearly a year into the genocidal aggression, the Tel Aviv regime has failed to achieve its declared objectives of “destroying Hamas” and finding Israeli captives despite killing at least  41,615 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 96,359 others.
