Sayyed Abdulmalik's Speech: Honoring Sayyed Nasrallah, and Reaffirming Yemen's Support for Hezbollah

Yemen: The speech of Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi last Thursday reflected several important aspects regarding the political and military situation in the region, as well as the relations between Yemen and Lebanon, particularly concerning Hezbollah and its Secretary-General, the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Sayyed Abdulmalik dedicated a portion of his speech to the martyr of Muslims and humanity, Sayyid Nasrallah, highlighting his virtues, attributes, and capabilities, emphasizing that his loss is great and the wound deep.

In this context, the Secretary-General of the Shura Council, Judge Ali Yahya Abdul-Mughni, said that Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that Hezbollah will not collapse despite the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah. This reflects Sayyed Abdulmalik’s great confidence in Hezbollah's ability to continue confronting all challenges, just as it has faced them throughout its long jihadist journey, through all the historical turning points it encountered, whether internal or external. He confirmed that Hezbollah will remain a major force of jihad and resistance against the Zionist occupation, playing a significant role in regional politics and maintaining balance over the years.

Sayyed Abdulmalik described the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as the “martyr of Palestine, Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa, Islam, and humanity,” reflecting his deep grief over the loss of this towering figure of jihad. The martyr shared many characteristics and attributes with him, which cannot all be listed. His martyrdom has a significant impact, not only in Lebanon but across the entire Islamic nation, as his death is a tremendous loss for the ummah. However, Sayyed Abdulmalik pointed out that this martyrdom will increase the party’s steadfastness and strength, which will, in turn, boost the morale of the resistance in general.

Judge Ali Abdul-Mughni mentioned that Sayyed Abdulmalik's words indicated Yemen's support for Lebanon, emphasizing Yemen’s continuous backing for Lebanon. This reflects the strong relationship between the revolutionary leadership in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon. This support can come in various forms, whether political, military, or moral. Under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik, Yemen views Hezbollah as a strategic and important partner in facing common challenges and dangers, especially those related to confronting the Zionist occupation as part of the heroic Al-Aqsa Flood battle, and in confronting the forces of global hegemony and exploitation in the region, thwarting their plans and projects.

He further explained that the martyr Sayyed Nasrallah represents an Islamic symbol with global and regional influence, as emphasized by Sayyed Abdulmalik in his last speech. This symbolism makes his martyrdom an event of great significance in the Islamic world, a tragedy for the entire ummah. It necessitates the unity of ranks and the consolidation of efforts in confronting all the plots targeting them. These colonial Zionist-American Western plans do not target just a specific party, sect, or region, but the entire ummah, something that Sayyid Al-Houthi has always reiterated.

In light of Sayyed Nasrallah's martyrdom and in the context of Sayyed Abdulmalik’s speech, Judge Ali Abdul-Mughni noted that the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah will not weaken the resistance but will strengthen it and solidify its resolve. This reflects a long-term strategic vision that Sayyed Abdulmalik sees as the broadest path to achieving victory over enemies. An ummah whose leaders are the first martyrs is the one that triumphs. Confronting enemies depends on sacrifice, martyrdom, and steadfastness, which in turn motivates the resistance fighters to increase their capabilities and determination to win the battle and achieve the goals for which Sayyed Nasrallah sacrificed his life.

He pointed out that Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi's statements come in the context of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle and Yemen’s continuous support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, as well as for Hezbollah, and vice versa. This confirms that Yemen's regional alliances go beyond national borders, increasing the combined strength of jihad and resistance factions against the Zionist entity and against American Western policies in the region.

These words reflect the strength of solidarity among jihad and resistance movements in the axis of resistance and throughout the Arab and Islamic regions. This solidarity will have a significant impact on the balance of power in the region and the world as a whole. The cooperation of these forces in confronting common challenges will contribute to achieving the principle of balance of power, thereby eliminating the theory of a "unipolar world" dominated by American Western control and hegemony.

Through his speech, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi sought to deliver multiple messages. Domestically, he emphasized adherence to faith principles, high morale, and the importance of steadfastness and resilience, no matter the sacrifices. Externally, he sent a clear message that jihad and resistance forces will continue, and any attempts to weaken them will fail, God willing, even with the loss of their leaders at all levels.

Judge Abdul-Mughni believes that Sayyed Abdulmalik’s speech carried a religious and ideological dimension by using religious symbolism to confirm the legitimacy of the resistance. It positions the resistance as part of a broader Arab struggle and Islamic jihad, calling for more unity, popular support, and solidarity around the resistance, enhancing its unity across its national, ideological, and religious dimensions.
