Oct. 15 Over 9 Years: 8 Martyrs and Dozens Wounded in US-Saudi Criminal Bombing of Yemeni Provinces

Yemen: On this day, October 15, over the years 2015, 2016, and 2018, the US-Saudi aggression continued to commit war crimes against civilians and civilian structures, targeting residential areas, homes, and farms, and causing widespread devastation with its brutal airstrikes and rocket and artillery attacks on the provinces of Sa'adah, Sana'a, and Taiz.

These assaults resulted in 8 martyrs and dozens of wounded, the destruction of several homes and farms, extensive damage to citizens' properties, and a state of fear among children and women. The bombings caused waves of displacement, homelessness, and increased suffering amid a complete silence from the international community.

October 15: 10 Casualties in an Airstrike on a Residential Area in Sana’a:

On October 15, 2015, US-Saudi warplanes targeted a residential neighborhood in the Harat Al-Sadd area of Azal District, Sana’a, with several brutal airstrikes. This resulted in six martyrs, including three children and two women, and four injured. Several homes were destroyed, and nearby houses and properties were severely damaged.

The direct targeting of residential areas and killing of civilians is a full-fledged war crime and an act of genocide against humanity in Yemen, demanding urgent international and UN action to hold the criminals accountable and bring them to justice.

2015: Casualties in Taiz Following Airstrike on a Civilian’s Home:

On the same day, October 15, 2015, the US-Saudi air force targeted the home of Abdo Al-Asimi in the Al-Jund area, Mawiya District, Taiz Province, with devastating airstrikes. This resulted in one martyr and one injured, the destruction of the home, and damage to nearby houses and properties. Women and children were terrified, leading to waves of displacement and suffering.

2015 and 2016: A Martyr and 12 Wounded After Cluster Bomb Explosions and Airstrikes in Sa'adah:

On October 15, 2015, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted the Yosnam and Qahira areas of Baqim District, resulting in several injuries, the destruction of homes, and mass displacement. Simultaneously, a cluster bomb exploded in Haydan District, injuring several people.

Farmers' livelihoods were destroyed, homes turned to ashes, and the strikes intensified the already dire living conditions.

On October 15, 2016, the US-Saudi air force bombed the home of Ali Murea Al-Muaidi in Baqim, injuring two citizens and causing widespread damage to homes and properties.

2018: Rocket and Artillery Strikes on Homes and Farms in Sa'adah:

On October 15, 2018, the Saudi military and its mercenaries shelled homes and farms in Baqim District, causing significant damage, displacing families, and increasing fear and suffering among women and children.

The targeting of homes, residential areas, farms, and livelihoods by US-Saudi forces is just one example of the thousands of war crimes and acts of genocide committed against the Yemeni people over the past nine years. These crimes demand urgent international and legal action to hold the perpetrators accountable and bring the aggression to an immediate end, lifting the siege on Yemen.
