Supreme Political Council: Blood of Martyr Sinwar Will Fuel Fighters in Palestine

News - Yemen: The Supreme Political Council mourned the martyrdom of the great leader Yahya Sinwar after a long journey filled with jihad and sacrifice.

In a statement on Friday, the Council highlighted Sinwar’s role in raising the banner of jihad and standing firmly at the forefront of the oppressed Palestinian people.

The statement noted that martyr Sinwar formed a strong front against the criminal Zionist aggression, culminating his efforts and jihad with martyrdom for the sake of Allah.

The Council also congratulated the Islamic and Arab nations, as well as Hamas, on this great martyrdom, extending heartfelt condolences to his honorable family.

The statement emphasized that the martyrdom of leader Yahya Sinwar and his pure blood will serve as fuel for the resistance against the Zionists, increasing the resolve and determination of the fighters in Palestine to continue their struggle.

The Council reiterated Yemen's steadfast and principled position in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and continuing to aid them against Israeli aggression.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been martyred in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza's Rafah city, a senior Hamas official confirmed.

Khalil Hayya, head of Hamas in Gaza, delivered a statement on Friday, a day after reports of Sinwar's martyrdom.

Sinwar was found dead in southern Gaza’s Rafah city on Thursday, wearing a combat vest with an AK-47 rifle by his side.

The charismatic leader of the Palestinian resistance movement escaped many assassination attempts before and after the events of October 7.

In the past year, Sinwar, 62, played an instrumental role in coordinating and supervising Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in Gaza.

Before becoming Hamas’s leader in Gaza in 2017, Sinwar spent 22 years in an Israeli prison. He was released as part of a prisoner swap in 2011.
