In its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded due to the aggression on Gaza, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated, Tuesday, that Gaza hospitals dealt with 84 martyrs and 158 injured as a result of these massacres.
The Ministry of Health noted that the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has led to a total of 42,603 martyrs and 99,795 injured with varying degrees of severity since October 7, 2023.
It also confirmed that many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
The Israeli aggression and the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by artillery and aerial bombardment and intensified targeting of various areas in the Strip.
The international charity Save the Children has described the conditions in Gaza as akin to the “depths of hell,” saying the aggression on the besieged territory is in fact a “war on children” as nowhere is safe.
The Middle East regional director for Save the Children, Jeremy Stoner, in a statement on Monday said, “What we’re seeing now in Gaza looks like the depths of hell with reports day after day of attacks on children and families. Nowhere is safe.”
The British NGO issued a grave warning about the escalating crisis in Gaza, stating that “evacuation orders” could soon turn into “execution orders” as children face severe deprivation of essential resources for survival.
Stoner made the remarks while explaining about the dire humanitarian situation across Gaza. He noted that in the north of Gaza Strip, a desperate population has been deprived of food for two weeks, trapped in a perilous kill zone while trying to escape relentless bombings and gunfire.
Meanwhile, in the south, where families from the north sought refuge, Israeli airstrikes have ignited a devastating fire that is engulfing Al-Aqsa Hospital and surrounding tents, with reports of rescuers discovering the remains of burned victims.
In spite of a desperate need to increase the amount of aid going in, Elder said aid access was worsening, with “no commercial trucks whatsoever allowed to come in” for several days.
The UN earlier said no trucks of food, water, or medicine have entered the north since September 30.
Northern Gaza “hasn’t had food, any food aid at all coming in all of October,” Elder said.
The dire lack of aid, coupled with the relentless strikes and the fact that virtually 85 percent of the Gaza Strip has been hit with some form of evacuation order, has made the territory “essentially unlivable,” Elder said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is examining a plan to seal off humanitarian aid to northern Gaza in a vicious attempt to starve out the Palestinians.
The plan proposed to Netanyahu by a group of retired generals would give Palestinians a week to leave the northern third of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, before declaring it a closed military zone.
