In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry denounced the brutal crimes committed by the terrorist Israeli occupation army against the healthcare system in Gaza.
It noted that since the beginning of the Israeli criminal aggression on Gaza, there has been a deliberate targeting of the healthcare system in the northern part of the strip. This includes its siege and direct bombing of medical, health, and emergency teams, culminating in the burning of the Indonesian Hospital today.
The statement described the intentional bombing of hospitals, health centers, and medical teams, as well as the blockade and prevention of fuel and medical supplies, as full-fledged war crimes that violate all international and humanitarian conventions and norms.
It explained that during the (380) days of the genocide and targeting of the healthcare system, the Israeli enemy has rendered (34) hospitals and (80) health centers out of service, while also targeting (162) healthcare institutions.
The statement further indicated that the Israeli army has killed 986 doctors, nurses, and health personnel so far, arrested 310 medical staff, and executed three doctors in prisons: Adnan Al-Barsh, Iyad Al-Rantisi, and Ziad Al-Dalou, in addition to many others whose names have not been disclosed.
The destruction of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex was described as a devastating blow to the healthcare system in Gaza.
This brutal crime, along with previous crimes and massacres by the occupation against patients, the wounded, and medical teams in various hospitals in recent months, has led to a real humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.
The statement also emphasized that the tightened siege has blocked the entry of medical and humanitarian aid and fuel, leading to a decline in medical services and the death of thousands of patients.
The statement called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as human rights and humanitarian organizations, to take immediate action to stop the terrorist Israeli aggression and its massacres against hospitals in northern Gaza.
It urged them to protect patients, the wounded, and medical teams, lift the siege on northern Gaza, where a Nazi-like holocaust is unfolding, and facilitate the entry of essential medicines, medical supplies, and fuel.
Israel has massacred more than 42,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The savage campaign has also left at least 100,000 Palestinians injured under such dire circumstances that a large number of hospitals have become dysfunctional.
