These assaults resulted in martyrs and injuries, the destruction of dozens of homes and farms, a telecommunications network, two fuel stations, a mosque, a vehicle maintenance workshop, material losses amounting to millions, the displacement of dozens of families from their homes, worsening living conditions, road blockages, and depriving the residents of basic services.
2015: 2 Martyrs and Destruction from Aggression Bombing in Various Areas of Sa'adah
On November 4, 2015, the US-Saudi aggression carried out war crimes added to its record of atrocities against humanity in Yemen, targeting the homes and properties of citizens in the Ghamar area of Razeh District, the telecommunications network in the Al-Sari area of Sahar District, and the main road in Razeh District with barbaric and hysterical airstrikes on Sa'adah Governorate.
This resulted in two martyrs and the destruction of public and private properties, exacerbating the suffering of the locals and depriving them of their right to communicate with their relatives and caretakers, limiting their right to life and freedom of movement, and the delivery of food supplies amid harsh living conditions.
Civilians as Easy Targets:
In Razeh District, the aggression's aircraft targeted the Ghamar area with direct, brutal airstrikes, resulting in two martyrs, terrorizing women and children, destroying homes, and displacing families. This scene highlights the criminality of the aggression and its deep-seated hatred for the Yemeni people.
Telecommunications Network as a Priority Target:
The aggression’s aircraft did not limit its targeting to Razeh; it also extended to the telecommunications network in the Al-Sari area of Sahar District, causing widespread destruction to the network and its electrical generators, rendering it completely non-operational. This increased the suffering of residents in neighboring areas, depriving them of their right to communicate with their caretakers and relatives working outside.
Lifeline Targeted by the Aggression:
In a related context, the aggression's airstrikes targeted Razeh District, focusing on the main road with a series of destructive airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of the road, hindering traffic, obstructing humanitarian aid, and limiting the delivery of food and medical supplies amid ongoing aggression and siege, worsening the locals' suffering.
2016: The Aggression Targets Fuel Stations and Civilian Homes, Worsening Suffering in Sa'adah
On November 4, 2016, the US-Saudi aggression's aircraft committed a new war crime against civilians, directly targeting the home of a citizen, two fuel stations, and a vehicle maintenance workshop in the Al-Aqab, Nasrin, and Hamzat areas in Sa'adah Governorate. These constitute complete war crimes against civilian targets protected under international humanitarian law.
These airstrikes caused massive destruction to public and private properties, turning residential neighborhoods into ruins and displacing families from their homes. A state of fear and terror spread among the residents, with eyewitnesses recounting tragic scenes as clouds of smoke rose from the targeted areas, and flames consumed everything around them.
The workshop, homes, and fuel stations were turned into piles of rubble, leading to losses in the millions and forcing their owners to flee and seek new shelter and sources of income.
This crime underscores the systematic targeting faced by civilians and their properties. The fuel stations that are targeted serve civilians and provide the necessary fuel for daily life, vehicle movement, selling agricultural products, rescuing the injured and sick, generating energy, and maintenance workshops that are essential for ensuring the continuity of daily life. Targeting homes is an unforgivable crime aimed at the safety and security of families.
This crime adds to the long list of atrocities committed by the aggression against the Yemeni people, exacerbating the suffering of civilians who live under the burden of aggression and siege, facing severe shortages of food and medical supplies, and a deterioration of basic services.US-
