News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a missile strike on a Zionist airbase in the Negev, southern occupied Palestine on Friday and the downing of an American MQ-9 drone in Al-Jawf Governorate.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e the Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman confirmed that a special missile operation targeted the Negev Airbase in the Negev, achieving direct impact with the Palestine-2 hypersonic missile. 

Additionally, Yemeni Air Defenses reportedly downed an American MQ-9 drone conducting hostile missions over Al-Jawf early Friday.

This marks the twelfth American drone downed by Yemeni forces since the onset of the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad, aligning with their support for Al-Aqsa Flood. 

Yemeni Armed Forces stressed that their actions are in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon and part of a fifth escalation phase in support of regional resistance movements.

The Armed Forces affirmed their ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese people, enforcing a maritime blockade, and conducting military operations against hostile threats. They stated these operations will persist until Israeli aggression ceases and the Gaza blockade is lifted.

Since the onset of Israel's war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, following the Palestinian resistance's surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Yemen has openly declared its support for Palestine. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until the Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza cease and have reiterated their readiness to deploy all military capabilities against Israel, including support for Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement.

In a recent address, the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, confirmed Yemen’s continued support, revealing that up to 196 enemy-linked ships, including American and British vessels, have been targeted. He noted that Yemeni forces have recently supported the Palestinian cause with 25 ballistic and cruise missile strikes as well as drone operations.
