Al-Houthi Urges Riyadh Summit to Classify Israel as a Terrorist Entity Amid Ongoing Violence

News - Yemen: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, urged the regimes that attended the Riyadh Summit to classify Israel as a terrorist entity.

Al-Houthi expressed surprise at the silence of Arab leaders regarding Israel's actions, questioning how they could call for international resolutions without steps to implement them. He noted that the Riyadh Summit’s statement discussed a ceasefire but failed to hold Israel accountable for its actions in Gaza and Lebanon.

He called for a binding UN Security Council resolution to classify Israel as a terrorist entity, criticizing the summit for relying on "illusory" appeals to international bodies that often shield Israel from accountability through US vetoes.

Al-Houthi questioned the likelihood of enforcing these resolutions, given the perceived international bias favoring Israel, and asked if such calls would change the daily suffering of civilians.

More than 50 leaders of Arab and Islamic countries were in Riyadh to take part in an extraordinary summit demanded that Israel immediately stop its deadly hostilities in the besieged Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

The summit, which was held at the suggestion of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and following diplomatic efforts and multiple contacts by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, underscored the necessity of a united stance among Arab and Islamic nations to confront Israeli aggression and work toward lasting peace

The ongoing Israeli campaign has entered its 403st consecutive day, marked by massacres, home demolitions, and a severe blockade, especially on northern Gaza.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 43,603 with 102,929 wounded as of Monday.
