News - Yemen: Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, Major General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, emphasized that Yemen’s current security, stability, freedom, and dignity stem directly from the sacrifices of its martyrs.

He noted that these sacrifices inspire the nation with awareness, resilience, and steadfastness in confronting challenges posed by global hegemonic powers.

Al-Ruwaishan highlighted the importance of commemorating the annual Martyr’s Day to reinforce the martyrs’ legacy in the hearts of future generations. He stressed the necessity of embedding the values of martyrdom, jihad, and sacrifice, especially during the ongoing battle between truth and falsehood against hegemonic forces led by the US, Britain, and Israel.

He also lauded Yemen’s recent security achievements, citing unprecedented successes by the Ministry of Interior that owe their realization to the blood and sacrifices of the martyrs.

The Government of Change and Development, in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, officially launched the annual Martyr's Commemoration Week for this year this week, under the slogan: “The sacrifices of the martyrs have borne fruits of pride, victory, and strength.”

The celebration of the Martyr’s Annual Commemoration is an important occasion to highlight the greatness of the martyrs, their esteemed status, and their sacrifices and heroic deeds in defending the nation, its sovereignty, and independence.
