News - Yemen: Hussein Al-Rubaie, a prominent leader in the Iraqi Nationalist Nasserist movement, has highlighted Yemen’s pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian resistance and the Lebanese people over the past year.

In an interview with Arab Journal, Al-Rubaie praised Yemen’s steadfastness, describing it as a land of faith, resilience, and Arab pride that rejects submission and humiliation. He emphasized that Yemen’s achievements in defeating the US-Saudi aggression against the September 21 Revolution have elevated its role in the ongoing Al-Aqsa Flood battle, aligning with Gaza’s resistance fighters.

Al-Rubaie noted that Yemen’s contributions, particularly through its military forces, are on par with those of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. He expressed astonishment at the escalation of Yemeni capabilities, resources, and weaponry, which surpass those of other Arab nations with far greater resources but less impactful contributions.

One of the most striking developments, according to Al-Rubaie, is Yemen’s Naval Forces targeting US warships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. This has reportedly left the US administration in shock, as reflected in contradictory statements ranging from denial to acknowledgment. The inability of US naval forces to fully defend against these attacks underscores the effectiveness of Yemen’s military strategy.

Al-Rubaie further highlighted Yemen’s naval blockade on Israeli navigation as a critical achievement, particularly given the apparent inability of American and British forces to safeguard Zionist ships. This blockade, he argued, not only contributes to military victory but also reshapes the region’s future, enhancing its international standing and advancing its people’s aspirations for freedom and independence.

Since the onset of Israel's war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, following the Palestinian resistance's surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Yemen has openly declared its support for Palestine. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until the Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza cease and have reiterated their readiness to deploy all military capabilities against Israel, including support for Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement.
