2015: Attack on Al-Rawdah Girls' School in Sa'adah
In one of the most egregious war crimes, coalition airstrikes destroyed Al-Rawdah Girls' School in Bani Muath, Sahar District, Sa'adah. The attack deprived 600 girls of their education and displaced numerous families who had sought refuge in the only school in the area.
The Director of Education in Sa'adah noted that more than 120,000 students in the province had been deprived of schooling since the beginning of the conflict, with dozens of schools destroyed. He labeled the attack a deliberate assault on education and future generations.
2015: Bombing of a Civilian Home in Taiz
On the same day, airstrikes targeted a civilian home in Al-Mudhaffar District, Taiz, killing a woman, injuring three others, and destroying nearby properties.
2016: Strikes on Civilian Properties in Sa'adah
Coalition airstrikes hit civilian properties in Sahar District, Sa'adah, causing extensive damage and forcing families to flee. Residents described living in constant fear.
2017: Bombing of a Farm in Hajjah
An airstrike destroyed the solar energy system of a farm in Abs District, Hajjah, killing a worker and causing significant financial losses.
Across various provinces, coalition airstrikes and artillery shelling destroyed homes, farms, roads, and businesses. These attacks caused mass displacement, deaths, and injuries, particularly among women and children. The bombings severely restricted movement, exacerbated famine and disease, and denied countless children access to education and healthcare.
These actions represent clear violations of international humanitarian law, calling for urgent global action to rebuild Yemen's infrastructure, deliver justice to victims, and hold perpetrators accountable.
