In a statement issued on Wednesday, the government praised the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon for its unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, despite making great sacrifices. It emphasized the resistance's ability to navigate the challenging regional political landscape and consistently outperform the enemy in confrontations.
The government expressed confidence in the wise leadership of the Islamic Resistance and its readiness to confront Israeli treachery at any moment.
The statement noted that the swift return of displaced individuals to their towns and villages in southern Lebanon serves as proof of the enemy's failure to break the Lebanese people's resolve and steadfastness.
It further affirmed Yemen's solidarity with the Lebanese people and the Islamic Resistance. Yemen, actively engaged in the battle of the Promised Conquest and the Sacred Jihad in support of the Palestinian people, reiterated its ongoing commitment to this cause.
The Yemeni government stated that jihad against the Zionist enemy is a sacred duty and pledged continued support for all efforts to resist aggression and occupation. It expressed confidence that history would ultimately favor justice and freedom, leading to the defeat of the enemy, by Allah's will.
A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect at 4 a.m. local time in Lebanon (02:00 GMT) amid hopes the truce will bring a permanent end to Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and cities and halt more than a year of fighting in southern Lebanon and the northern sector of the occupied territories.
Hezbollah opened a support front for Palestinians in Gaza only a day after the Israeli regime unleashed its genocidal war against the besieged territory last October.
More than 3,760 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, with nearly 15,700 others injured and more than a million displaced since the onset of hostilities on October 8, 2023, according to Lebanese health authorities.
In late September, the regime also assassinated Hezbollah's leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a strike in southern Beirut.
