News - Yemen: Yasser Al-Houri, Secretary of the Supreme Political Council, stated that Sana'a stands against the terrorist attacks launched by armed groups in Syria, emphasizing that such attacks have negative impacts on the region's countries, including those supporting this project.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Al-Houri explained that the Sana'a government condemns these terrorist attacks, which serve the Israeli entity and the United States. He noted that these attacks are part of the so-called "New Middle East" agenda, aimed at fragmenting the region, confronting the Resistance Axis, and silencing the voice of truth in the area.

The Secretary of the Supreme Political Council pointed out that the actions of the terrorist armed groups in Syria directly serve the Israeli entity, which was defeated in Lebanon. He added, "The attack is a message to the entire Arab and Islamic world that this is the American project intended to be implemented in the region under the banner of the New Middle East."

He affirmed that if the terrorist groups succeed in Syria, terrorism will spread to other areas, affecting all countries in the region, including those supporting the project aimed at fragmenting the region and solidifying the existence of the Israeli entity. He stressed that this project targets the Resistance Axis and seeks to undermine the efforts that have united to confront the Israeli entity, supporting Palestine and Lebanon.

Foreign-backed terrorists led by the Hay’at Tahrir al-Shams (HTS) Takfiri group launched a large-scale attack in Aleppo and Idlib provinces in the northwest of Syria on November 27, seizing several areas.

Since then, the Syrian government forces have been engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists to regain ground.

Terror outfits are seeking to hinder the Syrian government’s efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability in the country, which is also under the Israeli regime’s regular aggression.

Israel has been the principal supporter of terrorist groups that oppose the democratically-elected government of President Assad since the foreign-backed militancy erupted in Syria in March 2011.
