News - Yemen: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah expressed deep concern over the treacherous Israeli aggression against Syria, including the occupation of new areas and villages in Quneitra and Mount Hermon, as well as intensified airstrikes on Damascus.

The bureau strongly condemned and denounced this criminal Zionist aggression, emphasizing that the attacks aim to impose a new reality in Syria by exploiting the country's current circumstances.

It reaffirmed its support for Syria in confronting Israeli aggression and warned against the Arab and Islamic regimes' disregard for the seriousness of this escalation.

The bureau also stressed that Israel's aggression might not stop within Syria's borders but could expand to threaten other countries in the region, fueled by ongoing American and Western support.

On Sunday, militant groups led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) stormed the capital Damascus and seized its control. President Bashar al-Assad resigned and issued instructions for a peaceful transition of power.

Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the HTS commander, said Sunday that Syrian state institutions would be supervised by Jalali until a transition of power takes place.

The HTS said it would work with the prime minister and called on Syrian armed forces in Damascus to stay away from public institutions.

Meanwhile, Israeli military warplanes carried out a new wave of aerial attacks on Damascus and several other parts of Syria hours.

Security sources said Israeli aircraft targeted the al-Mazzeh military base in Damascus and Khalkhalah in the southern al-Suweida part of the country on Sunday.

The warplanes also hit a major security complex in the Kafr Sousa district of Damascus and bombed several residential areas on the outskirts of the capital.

Loud explosions were reportedly heard following the airstrikes in Damascus.

Attacks were also reported in rural areas of Daraa in the south. The targets included alleged weapon depots, air defense batteries and missile manufacturing facilities.
