Al-Aidrous stressed the need for collective action from these councils to oppose the dangerous Israeli escalations in Syria. He called for strong condemnations and the rejection of the occupation’s expansionist policies. He further urged the adoption of recommendations and resolutions to exert pressure in international forums to halt Israeli attacks and violations in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon.
The Chairman denounced the Zionist aggression, including the occupation of additional Syrian territories and the targeting of Syria’s vital and strategic resources. He described these actions as flagrant violations of Syria’s sovereignty, blatant attacks on its territory and infrastructure, and clear breaches of international charters, treaties, and the UN Charter.
Al-Aidrous expressed outrage at the international community’s shameful silence and double standards regarding the assaults on Syria and other regional nations. He reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support—both from its leadership and its people—for the Syrian nation in its fight against the Zionist project aimed at undermining Syria’s unity and independence.
He called on Arab and Islamic countries to move beyond mere denunciations and take practical, effective steps to halt the Israeli occupation’s aggression and violations in Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon.
Al-Aidrous emphasized the importance of Arab solidarity and unity in confronting the Zionist threat, which jeopardizes the region’s security and stability. He also highlighted the need to support initiatives that ensure Syria’s stability, unity, and territorial integrity.
An Israeli military incursion into southern Syria has reached about 25 kilometers (16 miles) southwest of the capital Damascus, two regional security sources and one Syrian security source said.
The Syrian security source says Israeli occupation forces reached Qatana, which is 10 kilometers (6 miles) into Syrian territory, east of the buffer zone.
Tuesday’s strikes followed a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said in a press conference on Monday that the illegally occupied Golan Heights will “forever be an inseparable part” of the Zionist entity.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli enemy occupied Jabal Al-Sheikh (Mount Hermon) near the Golan Heights. The aggression came following the fall of President Bashar Al-Assad’s government after an armed opposition, led by Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham, entered the capital Damascus early on Sunday.
