News - Yemen: The Shura Council condemned the ongoing Arab, Islamic, and international silence and neglect in the face of the Zionist occupation's commission of genocide, Nazi-like crimes, and direct targeting of schools, hospitals, and medical teams in the Gaza Strip, with the support of the US administration for nearly 14 months.

The Council reiterated in a statement its demand for the Union of Senates, Shura Councils, and all free people worldwide to take action, exert pressure in international forums to stop the Israeli enemy's crimes in Palestine. It also called for urgent intervention to rescue the besieged patients, premature infants, and medical teams at Kamal Adwan Hospital.

The statement called on the members of the Union of Senates, Shura Councils, free people worldwide, and human rights, humanitarian organizations to adopt the cause of the Palestinian people, document the crimes of the Zionist entity, and present them as evidence to the ICC. It also urged the prosecution of its leaders as war criminals for committing heinous massacres against civilians, targeting hospitals with missiles, internationally banned bombs.

The statement condemned the international community's double standards regarding the crimes of the occupying entity in Gaza and the failure of the UN, the Security Council due to their submission to US dominance. It criticized their inability to enforce international law to stop the Zionist crimes in Palestine and prevent the entity's violations, its ongoing threats to international peace, security in the region.

The Council condemned the Palestinian Authority, its security apparatuses for their alignment with the repression and arrests carried out by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and occupied cities. It emphasized that, at this critical time, the Palestinian Authority should have stood in solidarity with the resistance in its confrontation with the occupying entity.

The Shura Council praised the intelligence, security operation that thwarted the plans of espionage cells affiliated with the American and Israeli enemy, revealing the extent of the conspiracies the enemy seeks to use to target the security, stability of the nation.

The Council affirmed Yemen's right to defend its unity, security, stability, and sovereignty over its land, and to confront any brutal aggression or recklessness committed by the Axis of Evil—America, Britain, and Israel—due to Yemen's religious, humanitarian, and ethical stances in support of the Palestinian people, their just cause.

Since the onset of the Israeli regime’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023—after Palestinian resistance movements launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm—Yemen has declared unwavering support for Palestine’s struggle against occupation. The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched regular strikes against Israel as part of a phased escalation campaign.

This campaign has included a strict maritime blockade of Israeli shipping, effectively preventing vessels from reaching Israeli ports. In the initial phase, Yemeni forces targeted the port of Umm al-Rashrash in southern occupied Palestine. This escalation marks the culmination of a year-long series of actions across five phases.

Yemeni military advancements have now enabled strikes deep within Israel, reaching Jaffa and other key locations. These attacks have utilized hypersonic missiles and advanced drones with significant destructive capabilities, targeting ports and critical military infrastructure throughout occupied Palestine.
