In a televised statement, Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e confirmed a successful missile strike targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Jaffa with the Palestine-2 hypersonic missile. The operation reportedly caused casualties, disrupted air traffic, and demonstrated the missile's ability to penetrate the Israeli defense systems.
A simultaneous drone strike hit a key military target in occupied Jaffa, achieving its objectives with precision. Another drone operation targeted the vessel Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea near Socotra Island for violating the blockade on occupied Palestinian ports. The strike was described as a direct hit.
The Armed Forces emphasized that these operations are part of their fifth phase of support for Gaza in the ongoing battle for liberation. They also confirmed that the strikes are a response to Israeli aggression in Yemen, including recent airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in Sana’a and Hodeidah that resulted in civilian casualties.
The Yemeni Armed Forces noted that "earlier, the Israeli enemy launched several airstrikes on civilian facilities in Sana'a and Hodeidah, resulting in martyrs, injuries, and material damage."
The statement emphasized that "this aggression will only increase the resolve and determination of the great Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people, fulfilling their religious, moral, and humanitarian duty."
It reiterated that the Armed Forces possess the capabilities to expand their target bank in occupied Palestine to include more vital installations belonging to the enemy. "Our operations will not stop unless the aggression on Gaza ceases, and the blockade is lifted."
At dawn, settlers in occupied Jaffa and central occupied Palestine woke to the sound of sirens triggered by a missile launched from Yemen.
Enemy media further noted that sirens were activated across large areas of Tel Aviv, central "Israel," and as far south as the Negev in occupied Palestine.
The Zionist forces acknowledged the activation of alarms in several areas in "central Israel" following the launch of a missile from Yemen, adding that investigations into the details are ongoing.
The enemy's medical services reported that 18 individuals were injured during the rush to shelters following the alarm triggered by the Yemeni missile.
Israeli media stated that Yemen succeeded in forcing half the "state" into shelters in the middle of the night, showcasing their failure.
The strike disrupted air traffic to and from the Zionist entity. According to Channel 12, air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv came to a halt.
Enemy media quoted former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who stated that "the Houthis" forced an entire population into shelters in the middle of the night.
Lieberman blamed Netanyahu, saying, "Had Netanyahu not dismantled the missile force that I built, this threat would not exist today."
Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of at least 45,361 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
