In a statement issued by the Peaceful Sit-in Committee of Mahra, chaired by prominent tribal leader Sheikh Ali Salem Al-Huraizi, the committee described these attacks on civilian infrastructure in Sana’a and Hodeidah as part of the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist occupation with the backing of the United States, Britain, and international powers, as well as the glaring silence of Arab nations.
The statement emphasized that this aggression, a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, exposes the true face of the international community, which remains inactive despite the continuation of Israeli aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The committee stressed that the international community's silence has emboldened the Zionist entity to deliberately launch airstrikes on civilian facilities, disregarding rules of engagement and international treaties.
It called on all Yemeni people to denounce this heinous crime and the blatant violation of national sovereignty while rejecting any external aggression against the homeland.
The Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Mahra reiterated its call for all Arab and Islamic peoples and governments to condemn this unjust aggression, which makes no distinction between Arab and Islamic nations.
Yesterday, the Zionist enemy launched a series of airstrikes targeting civilian facilities, including a power station in southern Sana’a, Sana’a International Airport, Ras Isa Port, and Hodeidah Port. The strikes on Sana’a Airport resulted in four civilian deaths and 16 injuries, including a member of the UN aircraft crew.
Almasirah correspondent reported that the strikes targeted the control tower and the arrivals hall at Sana’a International Airport just minutes before the scheduled landing of a Yemenia Airlines flight on the Sana’a-Amman route. The attack caused casualties among airport workers and civilians waiting for their relatives.
