Dec. 28 Over 9  Years: 29 Casualties, Destruction of Homes and Farms in US-Saudi War Crimes Against Yemen

Yemen: On December 28, during the years 2015, 2016, and 2018, US-Saudi aggression continued its war crimes and acts of genocide, targeting homes, farms, private companies, properties, infrastructure, and civilian facilities in Yemen’s provinces of Sa'adah, Sana’a, and Amran.

These brutal airstrikes resulted in four martyrs and 25 injured, most of whom were children and women, along with widespread destruction of properties. Dozens of families were left homeless, terrified, and forced into displacement, exacerbating their suffering and worsening their living conditions. Such actions constitute blatant violations of international humanitarian laws and conventions, reflecting horrific scenes of tragedy that shame humanity.

Below are the details of these crimes:

2015: 25 Casualties in a War Crime Targeting a Residential Neighborhood in Sana’a

On this day in 2015, US-Saudi aggression committed yet another war crime, targeting a densely populated residential area in Jidar, Bani Al-Harith district, with savage airstrikes. The attacks claimed the lives of four civilians and left 21 others injured, most of them women and children. The airstrikes also destroyed several homes, caused extensive damage to neighboring properties and shops, and spread fear, panic, and displacement among residents.

2015: Six Saudi Airstrikes Target a Construction Company and its Owner’s Home in Amran

On the same day in 2015, US-Saudi aggression launched six devastating airstrikes on the home of citizen Rajeh Al-Jabri and his company, Al-Rayan for Equipment and Contracting, in Dhifan, Amran province.

The strikes caused massive destruction to the house and all its contents. The company’s heavy equipment and machinery were completely ruined, with losses amounting to millions of dollars.

2016: Cluster Bombs and Airstrikes Injure Four, Including Children, and Destroy Farms in Sa'adah

In 2016, US-Saudi aggression escalated its war crimes by targeting civilian farms with cluster bombs in Al-Ma’idhi area, Baqim district, Sa'adah province.

The attack injured four individuals, including children, and caused extensive damage to farms and properties, terrorizing the local population and worsening their hardships.

2018: Airstrikes Destroy Homes and Farms in Hamdan, Sana’a

On the same day in 2018, US-Saudi airstrikes targeted a civilian home and a farm in Al-Hattab village, Hamdan district, Sana’a province.

The strikes caused severe damage to the home and neighboring houses, forcing families to flee. They also devastated the farm, depriving its owner of his livelihood and leaving children and families homeless.

These deliberate attacks on civilians, homes, farms, and infrastructure highlight the persistent and systematic nature of US-Saudi aggression against Yemen. Over the past nine years, such war crimes have devastated the nation, leaving a trail of death, displacement, and destruction. The international community’s continued silence and inaction only embolden these atrocities, undermining the principles of international law and human dignity.
