News - Yemen: The Red Sea Ports Corporation announced on Sunday that the death toll among its workers from the US-Israeli aggression has risen to 16, along with several injured, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

In a statement issued during the funeral of the martyrs of the Zionist attacks on Yemeni ports, the corporation’s workers affirmed their commitment to remaining at their posts as part of the economic front supporting the nation’s victories.

The statement held the international community accountable for the significant damage inflicted on the ports by the Zionist aggression.

It called on freedom advocates worldwide to condemn the ongoing Zionist escalation targeting Yemen’s resources in Sana'a and Hodeidah, urging the UN and the international community to pressure the Zionist entity and take firm stances against its crimes.

On Thursday, the Zionist enemy launched a series of airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport and the Hizziz power station in Sana’a. Additionally, airstrikes targeted the Ras Kutayb power station, Hodeidah Port, and the Ras Isa oil terminal in Hodeidah Governorate.

Israeli officials have vowed to strike Yemen after the country ramped up its attacks on Israeli targets in retaliation for the genocidal war on Gaza.

Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.

The Israeli regime’s bloody onslaught on Gaza has so far killed at least 45,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 107,000 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under rubble.
