“The American aggression against Yemen is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of an independent state and a brazen encouragement for Israel to continue its crimes of genocide,” Mohammed Abdulsalam stated.
He further criticized the international community's handling of the situation in Gaza, calling for immediate action to curb Israeli aggression. “Those who seek security and stability in the region must rein in 'Israel' by stopping its aggression against Gaza, not by providing it with more time, weapons, and political cover,” he said.
Abdulsalam reiterated Yemen’s unwavering stance in the face of external aggression while emphasizing solidarity with the Palestinian cause. “Yemen, with its great sacrifices, continues to defend itself against any aggression and remains steadfast in its supportive stance toward Gaza,” he affirmed.
The statement comes as US-UK aggression carried out 10 airstrikes on the 22 May Complex in Al-Thawra District and two airstrikes on the Al-Oridhi Complex (Ministry of Defense).
It is worth noting that last Friday, the aggression launched an airstrike on the 21 September Park (formerly the First Armored Division) in Ma'in District in the capital, Sana'a.
Last Thursday, the Zionist aggression launched a series of airstrikes on Sana'a International Airport and the Haziz power station in Sana'a. It also carried out airstrikes on the Ras Katib power station, Al-Hudaydah port, and the Ras Isa oil terminal in Al-Hudaydah governorate.
The Zionist aggression's strikes on Sana'a International Airport resulted in the martyrdom of three people and the injury of 30 others, while the aggression on Al-Hudaydah caused the martyrdom of three people and injured 10 others.
The US-British coalition continues its aggression on Yemen in support of the Israeli occupation, attempting to deter Yemen from supporting the Palestinian people, who have been facing a Zionist genocidal war for over a year. Meanwhile, Sana'a has reaffirmed its commitment to the Al-Aqsa Flood campaign and its ongoing naval blockade on the Israeli occupation until the aggression on Gaza ceases.
The Israeli regime initiated a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, following a historic operation carried out by the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group in response to the escalating atrocities committed by the occupying regime against the Palestinian population.
Israel has enforced a comprehensive siege on the densely populated region, severing essential supplies such as fuel, electricity, food, and water, affecting more than two million Palestinians residing within the territory.
Israel’s war on Gaza has so far killed at least 45,541 Palestinians and wounded 108,338.
