Yemen Commemorates Martyr Leader Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi: A Legacy of Resistance and Victory

News - Yemen: The Social Affairs Department of Al-Tahsheed Al-Aam held an extensive social gathering on Wednesday under the theme "The Martyr Leader: A Symbol of Our Resilience and Victory" to commemorate the anniversary of Martyr Leader Sayyed Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, may Allah bless his soul. The event, attended by officials, was held in the capital, Sana'a.

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, extended condolences to the Leader of the Revolution and all supporters of the Quranic movement on the martyrdom of its founder. He emphasized that the movement, rooted in divine guidance, has led Yemen to victory, particularly in its support for Gaza.

"The Martyr Leader Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi emerged from the Quran, shaped his thinking by it, and made all his actions Quranic," Bin Habtoor remarked. "His concern for the issues of the Ummah and the oppressed was central to his mission, and today, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi continues on this path."

He further stressed the importance of honoring this anniversary as a significant occasion that highlights one of the great figures of the Islamic Ummah.

Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi also spoke during the event, stating, "Today, we commemorate the martyrdom of the leader who sacrificed himself for the sake of restoring the Ummah to the path of true Islam. He laid the foundation for the Quranic project, which has grown to have local, regional, and global influence."

"With Allah’s help, we have defeated the forces of arrogance. We reaffirm our capability, with Allah’s support, to achieve what others may deem impossible," Al-Rahwi added. He emphasized Yemen’s readiness to counter any aggression, whether against the country or Gaza, as stated by the Leader of the Revolution.

Ali Al-Mutamayez, Head of the Social Affairs Department, noted that the honorable stances of the Yemeni people are a direct result of the Quranic project initiated by the Martyr Leader. "We tell the Martyr Leader that your blessed efforts and pure blood have become a mighty volcano erupting against America and Israel," he said.

From the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Dhaifallah Al-Shami praised the Martyr Leader for reviving the spirit of the Quran in the lives of the Ummah. He highlighted how the Martyr Leader guided the Ummah to awaken, defend itself, and rise above its challenges.

Al-Shami also noted that the Martyr Leader was the first to foresee the conspiracies of the enemies after the events of September 11 and offered the Quran as the means to overcome such schemes.

Martyr Leader Sayyed Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, a prominent figure in Yemen’s modern history, was the founder of the Quranic movement that has shaped Yemen’s resistance against external aggression and regional injustice. His leadership and teachings, deeply rooted in the Quran, emphasized the liberation of oppressed peoples and a steadfast stance against global arrogance and imperialism.

Sayyed Hussein was martyred on Saturday, the 26th of Rajab 1425, after enduring 85 days of relentless aggression in the "First War against Sa’adah." This war, launched by the former Yemeni regime under directives from then-US President George W. Bush, targeted the people of Sa’adah governorate, marking the beginning of a systematic campaign against Yemen's sovereignty and dignity.

Born into a family with a legacy of knowledge and leadership, Sayyed Hussein dedicated his life to reviving Islamic values and empowering the ummah to rise against tyranny. He predicted the conspiracies that would follow the events of September 11 and urged the Muslim world to prepare itself spiritually and politically through adherence to Quranic principles.

His martyrdom marked a turning point for Yemen's struggle, inspiring the nation to persevere through years of aggression and blockades. Under the leadership of his successor, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, the movement has grown into a formidable force advocating for justice, sovereignty, and solidarity with oppressed peoples worldwide, including Gaza.

The annual commemoration of his legacy serves as a reminder of the resilience, sacrifice, and vision that continue to inspire the Yemeni people. It highlights his pivotal role in shaping Yemen’s resistance and his influence on the broader Islamic world. The Martyr Leader’s teachings remain a guiding light for those who seek justice, dignity, and self-reliance in the face of adversity.
