News - Middle East: The Islamic Jihad Movement and The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) have strongly condemned the recent U.S. decision to label Yemen's Ansarullah movement, led by Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, as a terrorist organization.

Over the past months, the Yemeni people have demonstrated unparalleled courage and heroic steadfastness in the face of aggression, according to the movement. It accused the Trump administration, like its predecessors, of seeking to punish Yemen for its unwavering support of the Palestinian cause and its opposition to hegemonic projects in the region.

The Islamic Jihad Movement reaffirmed its solidarity with the Yemeni people and the Ansarullah movement, highlighting their consistent support for the Palestinian people and their resistance. The statement concluded by praising Yemen’s continued provision of assistance to the Palestinian cause, despite facing immense challenges.

For its part, the PFLP stated that the U.S. decision would not deter Yemen from continuing its resistance against the American-Zionist project, emphasizing that the designation is nothing more than a badge of honor for the brothers in Yemen, who have made great sacrifices in defense of the nation's causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.

The statement added that the U.S. lacks any moral or political legitimacy to assign such classifications to resistance forces or any people in the world.

The PFLP also pointed out that the U.S. is the head of global terrorism, along with those who ally with it in its aggression against Yemen, Palestine, and the entire region.

Furthermore, the PFLP reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Yemeni people and their resistance forces, calling on all the free people of the nation to escalate confrontations against the American project and its tools.

As part of its war on the Yemeni people, Washington announced late Wednesday that it is designating the Yemeni government in Sana'a on its so-called "terrorism" list, threatening to mobilize its regional proxies against Yemen in an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people to abandon their support for Gaza.
