News - Yemen: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Hisham Sharaf, affirmed that the Yemeni government and people reject the illegal practices of the Emirati occupation forces and their attempts to impose the control on the number of Yemeni islands and lands.

Minister Sharaf commented in a statement about the details of buildings and hangars on Mayon Island, located in Bab al-Mandab, and bringing tourists from the Zionist entity to Socotra Island, saying it is something that cannot be tolerated and is contrary to international law.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs renewed his demand, which had previously been formally addressed through correspondence with the international community, represented by the United Nations, the European Union, the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, that the Emirati occupation forces seized Yemeni lands and islands and established military bases and secret detention centers, in the southern governorates.

“This does not mean in any way, according to the basic rules of international agreements and laws, that the occupier acquires any sovereignty over the land,” he added.

He added, "Whatever occupation is, it is only a temporary state, and the rights of the occupier are limited to that period only. It is even held accountable and sued for any innovations or transgressions towards land or people in the occupied territories, and in the future, full compensation is required."

The foreign minister advised the rulers of Abu Dhabi to preserve their lands and powers within the borders of the Emirates, and not to become arrogant due to the description of the former US Defense Secretary General James Mattis.

He also warned Abu Dhabi that the Yemeni missiles and drones could reach them soon due to their arrogance, if they continued their childish behavior and did not leave the lands and the islands of Yemen.
