News – Middle East – Bahrain: Bahraini Al-Wefaq Society mourned on Tuesday former detainee, Mohammad Nass, and said that it counts him in the convoy of martyrs.

Al-Wefaq explained in a statement that the Bahraini regime forced release of the martyr Nass months ago, after his health condition deteriorated and he despaired of the possibility of saving his life after deliberate medical neglect. 

As he spent the last period of his detention, nearly 5 months in the intensive care room as a result of complications from Corona. He contracted it inside the regime’s prisons, especially as he suffers from chronic diabetes, which doubled his health risk. Due to his infection with the virus and the lack of access to the lowest level of required health care caused his death.

Mohammad Nass is considered the fourth victim among prisoners of conscience who were martyred as a result of medical negligence due to Corona in the prisons of the Bahraini regime.

Al-Wefaq had warned that the policy of slowly killing political prisoners and removing corpses from their cells was a very dangerous transgression, with the consequences of which the regime would bear.

Al-Wefaq called for the immediate release of all political prisoners and to address all traces and abuses of crimes and violations left by the crisis, stressing that they are crimes with no statute of limitations.
