News - Yemen: Citizens in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate Southern Yemen, cut off several roads protesting the electricity cuts, the deterioration of living conditions and poverty.

In response, security and military forces fired heavy machine guns and a shower cap in order to disperse angry youth protests, who were protesting long hours of power outage in various neighborhoods in the city, residents and eyewitnesses reported.

The increasing protests in the southern governorates under the control of the US-Saudi aggression and occupation are due to a crazy rise in prices and the deterioration of public services, especially electricity.

It is noteworthy that Hadhramaut governorate is one of the governorates that is rich in natural resources such as oil and minerals, in addition to a huge fish wealth, while its people suffer as a result of the looting of the governorate's wealth by Saudi Arabia and the UAE and their mercenaries.

Less than a week ago, Abyan governorate witnessed a popular protest demanding confronting the coalition of aggression and deporting its forces from Yemeni islands and ports. 

They condemned the continued non-payment of the salaries by the aggression coalition for more than eight months, vowing to escalate against the policy of starvation pursued by the US-Saudi aggression.

They denounced the high cost of living and the insane rise in basic food as a result of the depreciation of the local currency, holding the pro-aggression government and the coalition responsible for the deteriorating living conditions.

The demonstrators accused the pro-aggression government and the US-Saudi aggression of supporting the conflicts between the people of Yemen and the southern governorates, to plunder Yemen's various resources.
