News - Yemen: Governor of Marib, Sheikh Ali Taiman, confirmed that the US-Saudi aggression killed and injured 1,794 citizens in Marib, causing displacement of more than 35,000 families from the governorate.

The governor explained to Al-masirah that the aggression committed heinous crimes in the governorate, killing 810 citizens, including 117 women and 71 children, and injuring 896 others, including 98 children and 78 women.

He said: the US-Saudi aggression in Marib committed horrific crimes against the people of Marib, killing sheikhs, who refused to be loyal to them. Women and children were killed in horrific and collective crimes.

He indicated that the aggression has killed and wounded citizens in Marib since the beginning of the aggression, targeting them in their homes, roads, popular markets and their farms.

He pointed out that the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen was handed a complete file about the crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression in Marib Governorate.

In turn, the director of the branch of the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in Marib explained that the displaced 35,000 families have been distributed among more than one district in Marib.

Al-Sharif said: The real tragedy and suffering of the displaced citizens were neglected by human rights and humanitarian organizations. “The displaced people from Marib live in difficult humanitarian conditions, while the organizations have not played their humanitarian role, not providing basic services to them.

He explained that the coalition of aggression created camps for the displaced on the front lines and used them as human shields using them as a card in pressuring local and international public opinion.

He also confirmed the grave violations that are committed by the US-Saudi aggression against the displaced in their areas, such as kidnapping 15 women and other major crimes.
