News - World: The American economic newspaper, Forbes, revealed details of the famous Saudi Aramco share of global emissions, in light of the announcement of the green initiative.
The famous newspaper said that Saudi Aramco is responsible for 4.38% of global emissions. It pointed out that this makes Aramco the most polluting company on earth.
The British Financial Times also said that there are doubts about the credibility of the pledges of Mohammed bin Salman in his speech on the Green Initiative.
The widely-circulated newspaper published a report on the initiative and the extent to which it could be implemented on the ground. It stated that Saudi Arabia burns about one million barrels of oil per day to supply the electricity system with fuel, with no progress on alternative energy projects.
