News - Yemen: The head of the supervisory committee for the implementation of the Safer agreement in Sana'a, Ebrahim Al-Seraji, revealed that the US-Saudi aggression had explicit intentions to harm the Safer ship, by preventing it from diesel, periodic maintenance and stopping the ship’s operation.

Al-Seraji confirmed that the operation of the Safer ship had been suspended since March 2015 after the Safer-Marib Company withdrew the ship’s crew of 700 workers, leaving only seven people.

He pointed out that the situation in which the Safer ship arrived was a deliberate act by the coalition, and that there are documents that will prove this.

Al-Seraji said, "The US-Saudi aggression and the blockade are what brought the Safer ship to this situation with the knowledge of the UN Security Council," noting that the statements of the UN revealed many confirmed contradictions due to the lack of the UN's intention to maintain the ship.

He pointed out that the United Nations drafted the details of the agreement for the initial maintenance and evaluation of the ship and failed to implement it.

"We were waiting for the United Nations to present a timed implementation schedule that accommodates the agreed work in thirty days, but surprised that its plan excluded nearly 90% of the agreed maintenance work" He added.

Al-Seraji indicated that the UN plan excluded the agreed inspection work as a professional examination based on well-known international standards and replaced it with a visual examination, noting that the presented plan revealed the contradictions of the UN and confirmed its lack of intention to maintain the ship and avoid its danger.
