News - Middle East: A Saudi public opinion poll revealed popular anger at the growing corruption in the kingdom and opposition to normalization with the Israeli enemy.

The results of the poll, conducted by the Washington Institute, said, "The Saudis are concerned about the increasing corruption of state institutions and the deteriorating economic conditions.

The results added that the Saudis believe that the Kingdom's regime is not interested in reducing corruption rates in economic and political life, and does not deal with the growing economic problems that affect people's lives.

The poll showed that more than half of the Saudi people support rapprochement with Turkey, while the majority of Saudis still reject the full and official normalization of relations with Israeli enemy.

Saudi public opinion is still mostly opposed to the full official normalization of relations with the occupation government. Only 16% express a positive opinion about the “ agreements between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan” – a sudden and unexpected decrease as it was last measured in July 2021, when 36% expressed support for the agreements.
