Yemeni Armed Forces Reveal Details of Qualitative Operation in Emirati Depth

News - Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces revealed Monday evening the details of the qualitative military E'sar Al-Yemen operation (Operation Hurricane Yemen), which targeted the Emirati depth.

In a military statement, read by Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the Armed Forces stated that the qualitative operation was in response to the escalation of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.

According to the statement, the operation targeted the Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, the Musaffah oil refinery in Abu Dhabi and a number of important and sensitive Emirati sites and facilities.

Operation Hurricane Yemen was successfully carried out with five ballistic and winged missiles and a large number of drones, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e explained.

"The Armed Forces are implementing today what they promised, and they renewed their warning to the countries of aggression that they will receive more painful blows," Sare’e added.

The Armed Forces warned foreign companies, citizens and residents of the UAE enemy state to stay away from vital sites and facilities for their own safety.

"We will not hesitate to expand the Bank of Targets to include more important sites and facilities during the coming period,” the spokesman for the Armed Forces warned, declaring that the UAE is an unsafe state as long as its aggressive escalation against Yemen continues.

The UAE state admitted Monday afternoon that it was initially subjected to an air attack in two locations in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in conjunction with the Yemeni Armed Forces’ announcement of an upcoming statement to reveal a qualitative military operation in the UAE depth.

Abu Dhabi police, in a statement published on the official Emirates News Agency WAM, said three fuel tankers had exploded in the Musaffah area, which lies southwest of the UAE capital and has been designated a special economic zone with numerous factories and ports.

The statement noted that the explosions took place near storage facilities of oil firm ADNOC. A fire also broke out at a construction site at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Navigational sources confirmed the suspension of navigation at Abu Dhabi International Airport after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced targeting the Emirati depth, while activists circulated videos of fires in the city of Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, foreign media revealed that the air attack, which targeted vital places in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, caused confusion and great concern for the Emirati leadership and cast a shadow over the risks surrounding the oil market in the region.

Bloomberg stated that Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE’s de facto ruler, canceled a planned meeting with visiting South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Monday due to an “unforeseen threat to the state.”

It noted that the attack caused damage to the UAE's oil facilities, and disrupted air traffic at Abu Dhabi Airport.

Bloomberg pointed out that this operation is the largest of its kind so far on UAE soil, stressing that the targeting of Emirati oil installations has raised the concern of oil market observers because there is a constant threat against the oil infrastructure in the region.
