"The member countries of aggression, including the UAE, cannot provide their own security," Abdusalam said in a tweet on Wednesday, adding that Abu Dhabi "can’t stand on its own feet without American crutches, and strives to beg for American support.”
He noted that the UAE won’t need that support if they "get out of the Yemeni quagmire.”
Stressing that no support would benefit the UAE, Abdulsalam said “No security will be achieved for it (the UAE), if the aggression on Yemen persists.”
Abdusalam's remarks come as the UAE’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, told CNN that her country still needs more US support to intercept retaliatory missiles fired by the Yemeni Army.
On Tuesday, Abdulsalam stressed in another tweet that either security for everyone or none.
“The countries of the aggression are mistaken to consider security to be their monopoly, while they continue to launch aggression and siege on Yemen and kill civilians and destroy civilian facilities," he said, adding that there would be no security or stability “but for all."
The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression has sharply intensified its airstrikes against several areas across Yemen since the beginning of 2022.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have used ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones to launch attacks into the UAE twice over the past week.
On January 17, 2022, the Armed Forces launched Operation Yemen Hurricane I, which hit the UAE depth, targeting the airports of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the oil refinery in Mussafah in Abu Dhabi and a number of important and sensitive Emirati sites and facilities.
In response to the escalation of aggression following the first hurricane and the perpetration of more massacres against the Yemeni people, which claimed hundreds of martyrs and wounded within three days, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out the Operation Yemen Hurricane II on Monday, January 24, 2022. The operation targeted the Al Dhafra military base and other sensitive targets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai with a large number of Zulfiqar ballistic missiles.
The operation also targeted vital targets in Dubai with a large number of drones, while the Al Sharurah, Jizan and Asir areas in the Saudi depth were targeted with ballistic missiles and drones.
