Giant Oil Tanker to Loot Yemeni Oil in US-Saudi-Emirati Occupied Shabwa

News - Yemen: Giant oil tanker SEAVELVET has docked, on Monday, at Al-Nashima port in Shabwa governorate, coming from the Indian port of SlKKA, with the aim of looting Yemeni crude oil.

This giant, which is the second in April, is preparing to loot 112 thousand tons of crude oil, which is equal to a million barrels. The oil looted is worth 106 million dollars, or more than 104 billion Yemeni riyals, according to the average exchange rates in the occupied areas, according to the source.

Earlier in April, giant oil tanker APOLYTARES has docked in the port of Ash Shihr in Hadhramaut governorate, coming from the Chinese port of Zhoushan, with the aim of looting Yemeni crude oil.
The source pointed out that the Chinese giant tanker is preparing to loot 317 thousand tons of crude oil, which is equal to 2.38 million barrels. The oil expected to be looted is worth 251 million dollars, or more than 226 billion Yemeni riyals, according to the average exchange rates in the occupied areas, according to the source.

The organized looting of Yemeni oil comes at a time when Yemenis are suffering from multiple crises due to the aggression and siege, one of which is the cut off of salaries. These looted wealth are enough to cover the salaries of all state employees, and more, as confirmed by the statistics of the Ministry of Oil.

Observers believe that the looting of Yemeni oil by the coalition and its mercenaries or countries colluding with it is a serious and organized economic crime. This puts the occupation and its mercenaries before the legal and popular accountability for knowing the fate of the oil revenues.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there. As part of its economic war, the US-Saudi aggression worked to drain about 97% of the Yemeni state’s resources, either by controlling them militarily such as oil and gas sources, freezing Yemeni foreign assets and transferring them to mercenaries and financing coalition operations, or imposing siege on the vital port of Hodeidah and the most important port after Aden, which is still in the grip of Sana’a and out of control of the aggression.
