Human rights activists and journalists made it clear that prisoners are subjected to the worst types of torture and violations that violate all international humanitarian, legal and human rights principles, which amounted to torture with sharp instruments, rape and other arbitrary practices.

They pointed out that many human rights bodies and organizations, including the Association of Mothers of Abductees, carried out protests and mass demonstrations to demand the coalition to release detainees in secret prisons, and to transfer their files to the judiciary for review; However, the coalition and its parties are still ignoring these demands until the moment.

The forces loyal to the coalition had carried out security campaigns during which they arrested a number of activists, human rights activist and politicians and imprisoned them in secret prisons in Aden, Shabwa, Hadramawt and other areas. 

Reports by press organizations and institutions confirmed that the coalition practices the most heinous violations against detainees in prisons, some of which are located in vital locations such as Al-Rayyan Airport. , which Riyadh and Abu Dhabi converted into military barracks.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015. The seven years and half of war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure.
