Supreme Political Council Discusses Ways to Alleviate Yemeni People's Suffering 

News - Yemen:  The Supreme Political Council discussed, on Wednesday, the results of the meeting of the national delegation and the military committee with the UN envoy in Oman. The meeting was headed with the president, Mahdi Al-Mashat, discussing the ways to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni People.

The Supreme Political Council also discussed the overall challenges that faced the truce and the violations and obstacles created by the aggression during the past two months. In addition, they discussed the opening of roads in Taiz and other governorates to facilitate the movement of civilians, blaming the aggression and its mercenaries for the stumbling in the issue of opening roads in Taiz and other governorates.

The Council reviewed the assessment submitted on the extent to which the provisions of the UN-sponsored truce were implemented, and stressed that the decision to extend the truce for a new period is subject to addressing the foregoing implementation of all obligations of the past period and compensation for them, whether with regard to flights or oil tankers, and the commitment to discuss humanitarian issues, foremost of which is the issue of salaries .

The Council confirmed Al-Mashat's call in his recent speech to the United Nations to pressure the countries of aggression and their mercenaries to disburse the salaries of employees from the revenues of the Hodeidah port and the oil and gas revenues looted by the aggression coalition and its mercenaries.


The head of the National Delegation, Mohammad Abdulsalam, Tuesday, met with the UN envoy to Yemen to discuss the course of the UN-sponsored truce and the obstacles and complications it faces.

In a tweet, Abdulsalam said that during the meeting, they discussed the course of the humanitarian and military truce and the obstacles and complications it faces, in addition to the importance of disbursing the salaries of the state employees.

He added, "We stressed to the envoy the importance of disbursing salaries throughout the country, and the Chairman of the Military Committee and the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen participated with us in the meeting."

Also on Tuesday, The head of the National Delegation, Mohammad Abdulsalam, stated that the National Military Committee met the UN envoy and his team in the Omani capital, Muscat.

In a tweet, Abdulsalam explained that the military committee discussed with the UN envoy the military situation and violations committed by the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries, and the issue of opening roads in Taiz and other governorates.
