News - Yemen: Gunmen looted travelers Thursday on the road linking the governorates of Shabwa and Abyan, in southern Yemen, which are under the control of the Saudi-UAE occupation forces and mercenaries.

Local sources said that gunmen wearing military uniforms stopped a bus of travelers, which was coming from Mukalla towards Aden, and looted phones and money that were in the possession of the travelers, under threat of weapons.

This is not the first crime committed by bandits against travelers in the occupied cities. It is added to a long series of crimes and suffering experienced by travelers, who have the choice between killing or looting their property and throwing them in the desert without pity or mercy.

This crime confirms the continuation of the state of security chaos in the occupied areas, where the security points of the mercenaries of the aggression turn a blind eye to these practices and give up providing protection for travelers despite the crime taking place near one of the mercenaries' checkpoints.

Travelers and citizens say that the checkpoints are involved in the crimes committed against them. The mercenaries at these checkpoints carefully search passenger cars and communicate with the gangs to inform them about the cars carrying citizens who have money or jewelry so that they can loot or kill them in the event of resistance.

This incident recalls the crime against the young man Abdulmalik Al-Sanabani, who was killed at Tor Al-Baha point in Lahj Governorate after he had been arrested by armed men at a checkpoint belonging to the so-called 9th Strike Force Brigade of the Transitional Council. He was killed on his trip back from the United States of America via Aden airport, where he was subjected to arbitrary detention, torture and confiscation of his money before being killed.

The crime proves that the scheme of chaos and lawlessness and the encouragement of criminal gangs is an approach taken by the coalition of aggression as a criminal means to target citizens and travelers in the occupied areas.

Moreover, the heinous crime against Mazen Felita and other crimes of looting, killing and suffering experienced by travelers who are forced to take dangerous routes come as a result of the siege imposed on the Yemeni people and the closure of Sana’a International Airport by the US-Saudi aggression.
