Releasing Seized Fuel Ships a Scandalous Crime

Yemen:  The media campaign launched by the aggression has finished, leaving a major crime and a major scandal of the silence of the US-Saudi-UAE aggression and the government of the mercenary agent Rashad Al-Alimi.

With the beginning of August, the aggression began preventing fuel ships from reaching the port of Hodeidah, despite the extension of the UN-sponsored truce for two additional months. The Yemen Petroleum Company announced the detention of fuel ships for the electricity in Hodeidah, followed by the detention of petrol, diesel and gas ships. The aggression detained 13 ships, before it announced the release of four of them.

Some officials confirm the evil intentions that the leaders of the aggression still harbor, and their failure to abide by their commitments, agreements, and respect for international and humanitarian covenants, and their perpetration of the crime of siege, relying on Western support, and international silence.

Others demanded the truce end and the start of responding to this crime that should not be tolerated, especially that Yemen was able to respond with a greater blow, whether by missile strikes, drones, or naval forces. The recent military parade showed the progress made in the Yemeni Armed Forces and the levels of readiness in this context, and the weapons displayed in the military parade in Hodeidah (The Promise of the Hereafter).

The Yemeni political and military leadership has put this choice on the table for research and careful study, based on two things:

The first is the fulfillment of the agreements concluded in the temporary truce, which stipulate a cease-fire and allowing the fuel imports through the port of Hodeidah, and movement through Sana’a airport, and aspirations to expand these terms to include an expansion of flights through the airport and the removal of additional restrictions on the port of Hodeidah, in addition to the payment of salaries employees who have been cut off for more than five years.

The second matter is the humanitarian need of the Yemeni people, as it is not possible to remain silent about such serious violations, and to watch the dwindling of the chances of achieving the people’s rights, even if gradually. It is not possible to allow the weakness or decline of the great trust between the people and their leadership.

Based on all of the above, the leadership’s position was announced by President Al-Mashat on more than one occasion, that: (no breach of the truce will be accepted) and that (the data in front of the aggression necessitated it to release the seized ships) with an emphasis on reassuring the people (that we are able to extract our rights, And that this crisis created by the aggression will soon disappear). President Al-Mashat had previously confirmed that the issue is under discussion in the Supreme Political Council, to take the necessary decision.

With the end of the third extension of the truce approaching, there was a meeting of the UN Security Council regarding Yemen on September 8, the session was held closed for more disclosure, which is likely caused by the detention of fuel ships, and the possible repercussions if the Yemeni armed forces moved to respond to that crime. On the day following the session, it was announced the start of releasing the seized ships, under the title of exceptional approval by the (government) of the United Nations request, to allow a number of fuel ships to enter the ports of Hodeidah.

This announcement showed a resounding scandal in the humiliating role that the pro-aggression government continued to play, pretending to not have any restrictions on fuel imports. Riyadh and Washington put it in the face of shame, to bear all responsibility for the siege and reneging on the announced agreements and humanitarian pacts, a shame that cannot be erased by expressions of thanks contained in separate statements from the American and British embassies.

The responsibility bears a large part of it on the US, and the United Nations. It used to issue permits after inspecting fuel ships in Djibouti and ordered them to go to detention points at sea off the coast of Jizan, to obtain approval from the (Coalition).

With the fall of the malicious propaganda, the Saudi scandal exposing its impose of the siege, the Yemeni people stand in front of a new victory, which they achieved by the wisdom of the leadership, showing strength, will and determination to extract the rights of the people.
