Information Minister: US Pushing Saudi, Emirati Regimes Towards Escalation

News - Yemen: The US is pushing the Saudi and Emirati regimes towards escalation and the continuation of the aggression against Yemen, Information Minister Daifallah Al-Shami said on Monday.

Al-Shami indicated in his Twitter account that the mercenary leaders are preparing the battle with statements and arrogance.

He affirmed the readiness of the Yemeni people and the Armed Forces for any new battle.

Defense Minister Major General Mohammad al-Atifi had said earlier that "the forces of aggression, during the previous truce, reorganized the positions of their internal tools, politically and militarily."

Sana’a renewed its threat to resume its attacks against the countries involved in aggression, in response to the refusal of paying the salaries of the state employees and to lift the coalition's siege on the outlets it manages, in exchange for the extension of the UN-brokered truce.

The UN-brokered truce lasted for six months in the seven-year-old war waged by Saudi Arabia and its regional allies supported by US and western countries against Yemen.

The truce, however, expired early October amid the Saudi-led coalition’s constant violations of the agreement and its refusal to properly lift a siege that it has been enforcing against Yemen since the beginning of the war.

Although the US-Saudi aggression seeks to extend the truce, with UN complicity, it is still evading the implementation of humanitarian and legal entitlements, foremost of which is the paying employee salaries and entering fuel ships to the port of Hodeidah, which made Sana’a refuse to extend the temporary truce.

The head of the National Delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam censured the aggressor coalition for failing to renew the truce deal and deteriorating the humanitarian crisis in the country as a result of its intransigence and disavowal of measures that alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
