Entesaf Organization: US-Saudi Mercenaries Committed 250 Crimes of Kidnapping, Rape in West Coast

News - Yemen: Entesaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights revealed Thursday statistics on the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries on the West Coast.

In a statement, the Entesaf organization stated that the aggression and its mercenaries committed 695 crimes until mid-November, explaining that these crimes and violations included 250 crimes of kidnapping and rape, including 86 crimes of child rape.

The statement condemned the heinous crimes committed by the US-Saudi mercenaries against women, the latest of which was the burning of the displaced persons camp in of   Al-Khaukha district on the western coast, explaining that women were subjected to extortion and rape, according to the interview conducted by Ahmed Al-Nami, one of Tihama people, with one of the displaced women in Al-Khaukha.

The statement pointed out that the displaced woman revealed horrific crimes by organizations that distributed sexual tools, in addition to being pressured by mercenaries to practice vice, especially those whom their relatives were killed in the war.

According to the statement, local sources confirmed that UAE-backed soldiers are the ones who carry out these despicable practices, since Al-Khaukha and the rest of the occupied areas on the West Coast are under their control.

The organization denounced these heinous crimes that are rejected by religion and law, as rape and all forms of sexual violence are a violation of international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Convention on the Rights of Women.

The organization condemned the continued international silence towards these crimes, blaming the United Nations and all its organizations for these crimes and their repercussions on society.

The statement called on civil society organizations, media and human rights activists for solidarity and serious standing to expose the ugliness of the aggression and its mercenaries' violations against women and children in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

As part of its economic war, the US-Saudi aggression worked to drain about 97% of the Yemeni state’s resources, either by controlling them militarily such as oil and gas sources, freezing Yemeni foreign assets and transferring them to mercenaries and financing coalition operations, or imposing siege on the vital port of Hodeidah and the most important port after Aden, which is still in the grip of Sana’a and out of control of the aggression.
