US-Saudi Aggression Insists on Imposing Complications to Gain Concessions

Yemen:  Warnings issued by Sana’a against any attempt by the US-Saudi aggression to escalate the economy have increased. Sana'a's warnings coincided with the conclusion of the Omani delegation's visit to Sana'a last Sunday, after the latter toured talks for about four days in Sana'a.

Observers do not rule out that the US-Saudi aggression has threatened to tighten the blockade and take more steps to harm the economic situation in Yemen. This prompted Sana’a to promise a harsh response to any risks that the coalition might take.

So far, there are no indications that the Yemenis can bet on to end the war. Despite the ease of the path leading to a settlement, the coalition insists on imposing complications on the scene to extract more concessions, using dirty pressure cards by threatening to tighten the siege.

The starvation war represents the last card of pressure on Yemen, after the abject failures faced by the aggression in Yemen. It seems, from the point of view of observers, that the United Nations and the Security Council have become the real enemy of the Yemeni People. The aggression no longer has any justification to continue the war, rather, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have become in a position that requires them to expedite their exit from Yemen.

In view of Sana’a’s conditions, it is clear that it provided all that is logical to end the war, by demanding the lifting of the blockade, which is taking place outside international law, and has proven to be a means of committing mass killings by starvation. It was unable to protect the countries involved in aggression from the strikes of Yemen, and any continuation of this blockade will only lead to more civilian casualties.

As for the demand for the departure of foreign forces from Yemen, no one can claim that it is an “unfair” request! No country in the world has ever accepted the presence of foreign forces on its soil, regardless of the justifications.

From the point of view of observers, the demand for the departure of foreign forces from Yemen represents the crux of all the talks that take place to end the war. It seems that the US ambitions to be present in the Bab al-Mandab and the islands of Yemen on the Red and Arab seas represent the cornerstone of ending the war.

As the aggression was unable to subjugate Sana’a through war, all forms of pressure must be exercised on Sana’a, on top of which is the war of starvation and siege, in the hope of imposing the US presence in Bab al-Mandab and the Yemeni islands.

While Sana’a’s request to pay employees’ salaries from the value of oil represents the least compared to oil revenues, the coalition considered this demand “illogical!”  Knowing that the pro-aggression government committed itself, during the transfer of the Central Bank from Sana'a to Aden, to paying the salaries of all workers with the state, in addition to paying operating expenses for the basic services sector in the areas of health and education. Which raises the question, where are Sana'a's complex conditions for peace?

Taking into account that the salaries of employees are among the basic and inalienable rights, which were not supposed to be subject to bargaining, the pressures granted by the United Nations and the Security Council of the coalition turned international law and humanitarian principles into a dirty bargaining game against the Yemeni People.
