News - Yemen: The Human Rights Office in Taiz condemned all forms of violations in mercenary areas, including incidents resulting from the escalating security chaos on a daily basis.

"We are following with great concern the deterioration of the security situation in the city of Taiz and its suburbs, which it is control of the mercenaries of aggression," the office said in a statement.

The statement expressed its condemnation of the heinous crime of killed and kidnapping against the citizen Qasim Ahmed Hassan Al-Zubaidi in the Turbah area.

The statement holds the US-Saudi aggression to be full responsible for the crimes, calling for the protection of the lives and property of civilians.

Recently, Human Rights Office in Taiz Governorate condemned the crimes of US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries against civilians in the governorate, and the targeting of residential areas.

The Human Rights Office stated that, December 27, 2022, US-Saudi mercenaries injured the 25-year-old citizen, Issa Sultan Qasim, by sniper fire in the Al-Taiziah district.

The statement held the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries responsible for this crime, as well as the international community for its continued silence towards these repeated crimes.

It called on all international and local organizations concerned with human rights to assume their humanitarian responsibility, monitor and document these crimes, work to reduce them, and prosecute the perpetrators until they are brought to justice.

In late December, the Ministry of Health had revealed that the victims of the Saudi attacks since the beginning of the truce amounted to at least 3,258, including African immigrants, in the border areas of Sa’adah Governorate.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and its other regional allies, launched a devastating war on Yemen in March 2015. The seven years and half of war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed much of the country’s infrastructure. People of Yemen  are facing malnutrition, hunger, and famine, which have increased risks of disease and starvation.

In light of its defeats on various front lines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers, including markets, hospitals, farms and schools.
