News - World: Political Office of Ansarullah denounced the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden, and considered it a hostile step against Islam and Muslims.

Political Office of Ansarullah confirmed in a statement, Saturday, that the Swedish government must bear the consequences of irresponsible act that took place in a demonstration that it allowed to organize.

The statement pointed out that the repeated hostilities the West is witnessing against Islamic sanctities reflects the moral and political bankruptcy of Western governments.

The statement noted that all Muslims are concerned with a firm response to hostilities against their sanctities.

Paludan, accompanied by police, went to an open public space in the southern Swedish city of Linkoping and reportedly placed the Muslim holy book down and tried to set it on fire while ignoring protests from onlookers.

 Sweden's foreign minister Tobias Billström condemned hatred towards Muslims, but emphasized there were certain freedoms in his country.

 "Islamophobic provocations are appalling," he tweeted. "Sweden has a far-reaching freedom of expression, but it does not imply that the Swedish Government, or myself, support the opinions expressed."
