Militias of Islah Party Attacked, Arrested Family Not on Military Front in Marib

News - Yemen: Honorable Sheikh from Marib governorate confirmed on Sunday that the Al Al-Amir had been attacked by the Islah militias while they were not on a military front.

“We hoped that the release of the Al Al-Amir would take place through mediations that were held tribally and not to be released through the Red Cross,” Sheikh Ali Abboud said to Al-Masirah.

He explained that the Islah militia also deliberately violated the sanctity of the martyr Suba'yan in Marib and burned him in his house.

He added that tribal efforts and mediations were repeated to release the Al Al-Amir over a period of four years, until the leadership in Sana’a intervened to release them. He expressed his thanks to the revolutionary and political leadership who took the initiative to merge the names of this family while they were not on a war front.

The militias of the Islah party attacked homes and properties of the Al Al-Amir in 2019, wreaking havoc, killing its people, and arresting the rest of them.

An exchange deal signed in Switzerland on March 20, which included 706 prisoners and detainees in the prisons of the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries.

On Friday, a total of 72 prisoners were sent from Sana’a airport to Aden airport on board two flights, and 250 of the Armed Forces captives on two flights from Aden to Sana’a.

On Saturday, the second day of the exchange process, five planes arrived, successively, coming from Saudi Arabia and occupied Mocha, carrying 350 prisoners of the Yemeni armed forces, including 250 prisoners who were in Saudi prisons, and in return, Sana’a released 15 Saudi prisoners and Sudanese.

The third phase of the prisoner exchange process began, on Sunday morning, between Sana’a and Marib, will include 105 prisoners and abductees in the prisons of the Islah Party militia.

Today's batch will include the release of the Al Al-Amir, about 13 individuals, most of them minors.
