The protesters demanded the speedy release of Shater, who was detained in Marib by Saudi-mercenaries while she was working on a vaccination campaign against Corona.
The protesters called for the prosecution of those who violated international covenants that provide for the protection of health workers.
They appealed to human rights organizations, the United Nations, the Red Cross and the World Health Organization to take all necessary measures to release Shater.
Yusra Muhammad Hassan Shater, was born in 1985 in Hamedan District, Sana’a Governorate. She works at the Higher Institute of Health Sciences. She has been kidnapped in Marib prisons since September 2022.
Yusra Shater is not the only example of the ugliness of the tools of aggression. The crimes of mercenaries affected others, including Samira Marsh, Nazihah Al-Junaid, the Egyptian Sahar Rajab, and many others whose fate was unknown and whose human rights were not observed.
In May, Insan Organization for Rights said that the number of civilian abductees in the prisons of the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries is about 1,200, including women and children.
It stated that 256 civilian abductees were released, including 198 civilian detainees who were liberated in exchange deals out of 1,200.
"Through examinations of detainees released from the Political Security prison, it was found that there are widespread epidemics, most notably 'tuberculosis' , in addition to severe medical negligence on the part of those in charge of the prison," it added. "The various organizations are not allowed to visit the detainees."
It pointed out that among the violations are the arrest of healthy civilians, taking them to prisons, merging them with prisoners of war, and bargaining with them in exchange deals.
The organization indicated that there are civilian detainees whose physical and psychological health has deteriorated, and most of them suffer from psychological conditions.
It revealed that kidnappings and violations were not limited to men only, but also affected women and children, stressing that a number of abductees in Marib governorate died as a result of torture.
