News - Yemen: The UAE is actively seeking to transform Aden into a private fiefdom of Abu Dhabi. This is by taking over the vital sectors, especially the communications sector, and controlling the security system inside the city through a special operations room run by Emirati intelligence officers.  

The members of the Parliament affiliated with the coalition sent a letter to the head of the “Presidential Council”, Rashad al-Alimi, regarding their objection to the draft contract with the UAE telecom company, NX, before the parliamentary committee completed its investigation into the issues raised about the company. However, the pro-aggression government approved the agreement on Monday, without any regard for the objections.
 
Leaks from the pro-aggression government indicate that the move to empower the UAE telecom company is being sponsored and encouraged by Al-Alimi. He had previously received letters from leaders in the oro-aggression government about the need to stop the agreement with the Emirati NX company, but he did not show any interest in the objections to the agreement.
 
In conjunction with awarding the Emirati company a monopoly contract for communications in Aden, the UAE set about establishing an integrated security system in Aden, run by intelligence officers from the Emirates.
 
According to observers, the telecommunications sector is one of the most dangerous sectors, which any party that controls it can use it in intelligence, security and military work, and eavesdropping. This means enabling the UAE to actually control the city through the special operations room that the UAE recently established in Aden.
 
According to observers, the Emirati steps in Aden reveal the UAE's relentless endeavor to turn Aden into a private fiefdom of Abu Dhabi. They recalled what happened in Socotra in terms of the UAE’s control of communications, which encouraged political circles close to the Emirati regime to say that “Socotra has become Emirati.”
