News - Yemen: Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms condemned the kidnapping of Omani traveler Harith bin Mansour Al-Sharqi at a security checkpoint in areas controlled by US-Saudi mercenaries in Marib.

The Organization stated in a statement on Wednesday that the areas controlled by the Council of Saudi-Emirati tools in Marib suffer from a security breakdown. Cases of kidnapping and murder of travelers have spread in these areas, as recently happened with foreigners affiliated with Doctors Without Borders.

The Organization called on the Saudi-backed government to assume its responsibility for the kidnapping, quickly release the abductee unconditionally, to ensure the safety of the Omani traveler and apprehend the perpetrators of the crime and bring them to justice.

It pointed out that this incident raises great concern for travelers in these areas, emphasizing the need to exercise caution and take necessary security measures when traveling through these areas.

Significantly, the Omani traveler was kidnapped during an exploratory trip to Yemen, where he documented the beautiful landscapes, historical and tourist landmarks, and conveyed the authenticity of social and cultural life of Yemenis.

Southern occupied provinces suffer from a state of security chaos and have become a scene of murders, kidnappings and torture of civilians. Violations and crimes are exacerbated in the areas under the control of the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries, with the complicity of the security authorities there, which have reached the point of deliberately targeting civilians with killing and threats.

What is happening in occupied provinces are war crimes and flagrant violations of international human rights law. However, human rights organizations do not move a finger about these violations.
