Sana’a Warns, Is the Collapse of De-escalation with US-Saudi Aggression Imminent?

Yemen: The future of Yemen seems bleak, as there is currently no sign of progress. The situation is leaning towards a humanitarian crisis due to the US-Saudi aggression's stubbornness and its refusal to fulfill its obligations in this regard. Sana’a has threatened to return to square one if this stubbornness continues.

Prime Minister of the Salvation government, Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, hinting at resorting to military action and returning to square one after celebrating the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, confirms the seriousness of this threat if the coalition continues its stubbornness without making any progress in the humanitarian aspect, especially regarding the salaries of Yemeni employees from the looted Yemeni resources since 2016.

Bin Habtoor's statements were accompanied by statements from Foreign Minister, Hisham Sharaf, who affirmed Sana’a's rejection of the state of neither war nor peace that the coalition plans to continue.

On the other hand, the coalition has not yet made any new stance that determines whether it actually intends to resolve the humanitarian aspect and pay the salaries that Sana’a insists on as a condition for the continuation of the ceasefire. This threatens the collapse of the ceasefire if the coalition does not respond quickly to Sana’a's demands.

Based on what has happened so far, it can be said that the ceasefire in Yemen is at a crossroads, which necessitates more efforts from the Omani mediator to convince the coalition to quickly implement what has been agreed upon with Sana’a during previous rounds of negotiations.

Will the countries involved in aggression respond to Sana’a's demands to maintain the ceasefire, or will they continue their stubbornness until the situation returns to square one? This is what the coming days will reveal.
