News - Yemen: The Liaison and Coordination Officers’ Operations Room, responsible for monitoring violations of the Stockholm Agreement and Ceasefire in Hodeidah, reported 89 violations by US-Saudi coalition forces and mercenaries over the past 24 hours.

A source within the Operations Room highlighted on Saturday that these violations included the deployment of two surveillance drones over Maqbanah and Hays, as well as the construction of new military fortifications in the districts of Hays and Al-Jabalyah. Additionally, there were 13 artillery shell attacks and 71 instances of various bullet-related violations.

The Saudi-led aggression continues to breach the UN-backed agreement, which was established through peace negotiations in Sweden in December 2018. This agreement mandated an immediate ceasefire in the city of Hodeidah and its ports, the redeployment of forces, the security of the ports, the creation of a joint Redeployment Coordination Committee led by the United Nations, and the use of port revenues to support civil service salary payments.

Despite these repeated violations in Hodeidah by the coalition forces, there has been a concerning international silence regarding the aggression and its impact on the Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia, supported by the United States and regional allies, initiated the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming it aimed to restore the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to power.

The US-Saudi coalition persists in targeting residential areas and infrastructure, causing widespread destruction and suffering in Yemen. This has resulted in hundreds of thousands of Yemeni casualties, displacement of millions, and the spread of famine and infectious diseases, all amid a suspicious global silence.
